Cards List Updated

Somewhere in the early stages of this blog I thought it was a good idea to list the card sets and strike them off as I have them. Not only has that process become tedius, it's made me want to not list the card period and go back to bed. Well, I changed it around so the cards page lists what's needed to finish off the sets. Don't have to mess with images, or tables, or fancy do-hickeys... simple text. K.I.S.S on that note, I've listed what at the current moment is missing from the 1988 Topps set. I have more here to go through starting tomorrow and even then unfoil(yes I had an idea to protect cards with tin foil, only then realizing they look like coke bricks then baseball cards >.<) the mountain dew-sized box of '88 Topps. Every year I'm asked what I want for Christmas and I tell em the same thing: Baseball Cards. It's the point of this blog - complete the sets. Doubles aren't doubles, just sets not completed yet. Blogs like this one need to be around for this very reason.

Happy Yule everyone, Matt

Closing out 2019

So it's become that wondrous time of the year again - yes it's getting close to ending 2019 and welcoming 2020 as a new year of hope. This blog's always on my mind even as I'm working through other projects(like the webcomic that started up in August). That said, I've purged the youtube and twitch vids. It was an idea, plain and simple, and since it didn't go over as well as I'd hoped, there's no reason to keep them around any longer. I've also returned the site back to its previous layout - someone messaged me over Gmail and asked what anime and baseball had to do in common, and it struck me that maybe I'm putting too much 'me' into here. I think it all went along the lines of trying to improve what I saw as an already good thing(again was wrong so that's 2 for 2). I was also noted by a Google rep that they plan to keep Blogger around for as long as it's being used, which further led me to research some things and confirmed what I thought: Blogger makes more money than YouTube(then again at this point, even yahoo makes more money than YouTube so...). I'm also now set up east of Kingman, AZ for those that follow what goes on in my personal life. So what does this mean for The Card Collector? This means since I only really have three projects on my plate, I can dive back into this. Not once did I ever think of giving it up, putting it on the back burner, or want to do something precarious to it - so that's something. That said, the project still runs off donations and I'm always still accepting cards no matter what they are or their condition. I think if I do what I do here, everything else will take care of itself. Merry Christmas everyone, Matt ^_^

Happy 2019 Everyone!

Yes it's belated, didn't have net for most of December and part of January. I still have a very optimistic outlook for 2019 and that keeps me going. Speaking of, I was given 60 packs of cards ranging in years from 1989 to 1992 for Christmas and a Samsung Tab A and I have a database program on there that sorts everything and spits out as a spreadsheet so i'm very excited to see how much of the collection I can cram into the program before it yells at me that there's no more room :D I might actually get the collection sorted this year which would be nice since I've been dragging my feet on it since I got that major box of cards a few years ago. For those curious or are happy, the YouTube series I was trying to push is done. It didn't do what it was suppose to do and that was to bring people here, so my next thought is to try to get the site in the top slot on search results. See if that does anything.
